Buying my first Twilight movie ticket

I saw the first movie Twilight only on the dvd bought by my sister because when the movie came out on the theaters, I wasn't still interested of it yet. By the time I got hooked on the Saga, Summit was already busy filming New Moon. I became one of the million people checking every now and then on the updates of the movie. And I was waiting for November to come quick. To think I was also busy preparing for my December wedding at that time.

When November did came, I received a call from a friend (the same one whose picture of her holding a Twilight book got me interested to read the saga) telling me that I should go to the mall already and purchase a "sure seat" movie ticket for New Moon on the opening day itself. She told me that the tickets were selling like hot cakes. Since I was still working at that time, I asked the permission of my boss if I could step out for awhile because I have to buy something really important (I'd do anything just to get hold of a ticket, even lying to my boss).

When I got to the mall, I went directly to the theater and ask the ticket lady for the New Moon ticket. She showed me an almost filled up log book and ask me to choose which time I would want to watch the movie. Since I wanted to watch New Moon as soon as the theater opens, so I picked the earliest time which was 1:00 P.M. (probably midnight in USA) and bought another ticket for the last full show at 9:00 P.M. since my friend wanted to watch the movie with me.

Here comes November 20th and I was in the mall an hour early before the theater opens. Because I was so early, I was the first one in line and I got inside the theater first! Looking around the theater, all I could see were a bunch of teenagers (skipping school I bet, but I also skipped work for New Moon too!) all giddy and excited for the movie. I was in fact sitting between noisy teenagers, screaming when Jacob took off his shirt and swooning when Edward first appeared on screen. But since I watched the movie alone, all my screams and swoons, I kept it inside myself. I was just extremely happy to watch New Moon on its first day of showing. I was just so happy to have bought the New Moon ticket in advance. So happy to see Bella, Edward and Jacob on screen.

The movie ended before 4:00 p.m. and since I still got a ticket for the 9:00 p.m. showing, I stayed in the mall and waited for my friend. On New Moon's first day of showing, I got to watch it twice! Oh I can't wait for Eclipse to come out. I've already told my husband that I want to watch Eclipse on its first day of showing on June 30 and I'll make sure that I'll still be the first one in line when the theaters opens its doors.
